Off-site Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4

ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

Our tailored secondary programmes provide Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students with the academic support, vocational training, and personal development they need to succeed.

  • FUNCTIONAL SKILLS – MATHS & ENGLISH

Our Functional Skills programme is constantly adapting and evolving to accommodate the needs of learners. Our tutors take time to learn and understand learners’ interests, using this to create engaging maths and English sessions from Entry 1 to level 2. Following the initial assessment, learners will work towards achieving the qualification, sitting assessments at the end of each term.

  • SPORTS LEADERS AWARD – BOXING

We focus on accelerated progress in arithmetic fundamentals, employing hands-on activities, visual aids, and dynamic teaching styles to lay a robust foundation for advanced mathematical concepts.

  • ASDAN – SHORT COURSES

Providing real life transferable skills and knowledge is a leading aim of Nulogic Training. We select short courses from ASDAN to deliver to learners aiming to inspire a passion through work-related topics. These qualifications are achievable in a short-term placement at our offsite centre and provide a sense of achievement for learners upon completion. It is this achievement that drives their self-belief in furthering their academic aspirations.

Student Life

  • Social Time

Being with the same students everyday can be a challenge. It is our responsibility to create opportunities for the students to develop positive relationships that support each others’ journey on the programme.

  • Staying Active

Physical activity benefits the body and mind. We ensure that our students partake in physical activity every day to help manage their physical and mental health, improving their performance in and out of the classroom.

  • Responsibility

Life skills are important for all young people. We assign a range of responsibilities to the students collectively and independently. Having a sense of independency can really help students mature across all areas of their lives.

  • Classroom

We maintain the same behavioural expectations as mainstream classrooms. We believe that learning should be enjoyable and engaging.

  • FAQ

    Mentorship

Everybody needs to be heard. Outside of other meetings scheduled with professionals, a member of staff will meet with each student once a week for a 1:1 conversation about how they feel about their progression.

SECONDARY
Case Study

Lacey, a Year 10 student, was referred to Nulogic due to academic underperformance, poor behaviour, and social difficulties at her mainstream school.

Academic Progress

  • Before: Lacey was disengaged and falling behind in core subjects, particularly in Maths and English. She was at risk of failing his GCSEs.
  • During: With personalised attention in small groups, Lacey began improving, especially in Maths. Her focus increased, and she started catching up on key skills.
  • After: By the end of the programme, Lacey’s predicted GCSE grades rose significantly, showing clear progress in both English and Maths.

Behavioural Progress

  • Before: Lacey frequently displayed disruptive behaviour, leading to multiple exclusions.
  • During: Through one-on-one mentoring and behaviour management strategies, her incidents of poor conduct reduced dramatically.
  • After: Lacey returned to school with better self-regulation, showing fewer disciplinary issues.

Attendance

  • Before: Lacey’s attendance was 40%, often missing school due to disengagement.
  • During: Her attendance at Nulogic improved to 90%, reflecting his increased engagement and sense of responsibility.
  • After: Upon returning to her mainstream school, Lacey maintained steady attendance, showing a renewed commitment to her education.

Lacey’s success story demonstrates how Nulogic’s tailored approach can transform students’ academic, behavioural, social, and attendance outcomes, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
